WHO WE SUPPORT
WHO WE SUPPORT
WHO WE SUPPORT
Who we support
Companies with
In-House Legal Support
Our full-service contracting services are designed to complement your existing legal team, eliminating the need for additional staffing. We work seamlessly with your in-house team, becoming an extension of it and handling all aspects of your contract requirements.
Companies Without
In-House Legal Support
If you don’t have an in-house legal team or general counsel, we implement simple and effective processes to streamline contract procedures and ensure smooth communication with key stakeholders such as upper management and finance/procurement.
Lovell services the entire lifecycle of your contracts
This begins the contract lifecycle. In this stage, the contract requester provides details about the engagement to Lovell via email or contract lifecycle management (CLM) system.
This stage is where parties put the terms and conditions of the contract into writing. This stage can be sped up with pragmatic templates creating efficient turnaround times and less negotiation.
During the contract negotiation stage, arguably one of the most critical phases of the contract lifecycle, contract parties negotiate the terms and conditions of the contract. Lovell will review and approve, or markup and negotiate, edits to contracts and contracts provided by counterparties.
Lovell is always mindful of business decisions vs. legal decisions
Once everyone involved is comfortable with the negotiations, the contract may need to be formally approved by Legal, Finance, and/or business stakeholders.
After approvals, someone with signing authority for each party must sign the contract. Electronic signature software, such as DocuSign, make it easy to sign contracts.
It is imperative for companies to maintain a database storing all signed contracts. This is often done with cloud storage systems like SharePoint and Box, or via CLM systems.
The lifecycle of a contract does not end after it is signed and stored. Most contracts contain key dates, deliverables, milestones, and other specific obligations. Poorly managed contracts mean that expiration dates, milestones, and obligations may be missed with little or no recourse.
Lovell provides and maintains contract trackers for clients who don’t have CLM systems
